Fortaleza (CE) quer transformar a cidade na capital do Kite

Os eventos náuticos recentes realizados em Fortaleza (CE) reforçam a vocação da cidade nordestina como palco da prática de esportes. A capital cearense sediou em agosto competições como a Copa Brasil de Vela e o MolokaBRA, que reuniu milhares de atletas nas modalidades vela, canoagem e remo.

O grande objetivo da cidade, por meio da Prefeitura de Fortaleza e Secretaria Municipal do Turismo (Setfor) , é fazer do local a Capital do Kite. Os cearenses têm 35 km de praia e ventos constantes suficientes para a prática do kitesurfe, categoria que estará presente nos Jogos Olímpicos de Paris 2024.

O poder executivo local quer unir turismo, a capacitação e o desenvolvimento territorial, visando a fortificação da identidade de Fortaleza, que já figura entre os destinos turísticos mais procurados do país.

Atualmente, nove escolas estão em operação, sendo cinco localizadas na Barra do Ceará e quatro na Praia do Futuro.

\’\’Recebemos os maiores eventos do mundo, como o MolokaBRA, que está em mais uma edição. Desde então percebemos que a cidade tem um potencial náutico extraordinário. Temos vocação para fazer todas as modalidades náuticas, como SUP, natação, remo, vela, entre outras. É possível praticar atividades em todas as nossas praias\’\’, disse o secretário de Turismo, Alexandre Pereira.

Fortaleza (CE) pode ser considerada a única capital do Brasil que oferece kitesurfe urbano por toda a extensão de sua costa. Após a revitalização, a Avenida Beira-Mar se tornou um centro para diversas atividades náuticas.

As iniciativas também incluem a capacitação dos envolvidos por meio de aulas de inglês (no programa Fortaleza Bilíngue), aulas de culinária e formação de instrutores de kitesurf, entre outros cursos.

Sob a liderança da Setfor, o Movimento Fortaleza Capital do Kite contará com parceiros como o Sebrae, players do setor turístico, operadoras, federações e associações ligadas aos esportes náuticos.

As regatas do MolokaBRA ocorrem nesta semana na região com mais de 80 velejadores das classes Kitesurf, Kite Foil, Wing Foil e Windsurf. A competição, que também terá provas de stand up paddle, remo e canoagem, é considerada a maior de downwind – a favor do vento – do país. 

A CBVela – Confederação Brasileira de Vela é uma das organizadoras do evento ao lado da Federação Cearense de Vela e Motor, Iate Clube de Fortaleza e as entidades que regem as outras modalidades. A ASUP-Ceará é a organizadora geral do festival.

\’\’O evento consolida o Estado do Ceará como um dos locais mais bacanas para velejar pelos ventos e pelas águas quentes. O litoral é muito propício para a prática do downwind, que é a favor do vento.
